The Red Sea EDITION introduces anãsa, a modern Greek restaurant and bar on Shura Island in Saudi Arabia. Launching with an exclusive Eid preview from May 25–31, 2026, the concept blends coastal Mediterranean dining, fire-led cuisine and immersive luxury hospitality.

Launching with an exclusive public preview from May 25 to May 31, 2026, during the Eid Al Adha period, anãsa is already emerging as one of the region’s most anticipated luxury dining destinations.
Located along the pristine coastline of Saudi Arabia’s Red Sea destination, anãsa has been created by Saudi chef and restaurateur Basma El Khereiji as a deeply personal tribute to Greek hospitality, Mediterranean culture and the spirit of shared dining.
The restaurant’s name, anãsa, comes from the Greek word for “breath” or “exhale,” while also echoing the Arabic concept of “al-uns” — the comfort and warmth of companionship. The concept is designed around slowing down, gathering together and embracing long evenings by the sea.
Opening daily from approximately 6pm during the preview week, the experience unfolds across multiple chapters, beginning with sunset drinks and coastal flavours before transitioning into fire-led dining, music, dessert, shisha and relaxed conversation.
The seafood-forward menu celebrates honest Mediterranean ingredients including olive oil, fresh herbs and charcoal cooking techniques. Signature sharing plates are designed to encourage connection and lingering moments around the table.
The culinary programme was developed by Basma El Khereiji alongside Executive Chef Ioannis “Yiannis” Skoumpelos and Executive Sous Chef Alexandros Chatzichalkias. Chef Skoumpelos brings experience from acclaimed kitchens across Greece, London and Paris, delivering a refined yet authentic interpretation of Greek cuisine rooted in simplicity and high-quality produce.
