DId I just enter India's Best Airport Lounge?
A detailed review of the Bangalore Airport Lounge at Terminal 2. Spacious, premium design, good food, and great views—find out if it’s worth your time and money.
Located inside Terminal 2 of Kempegowda International Airport, the Bangalore Airport Lounge makes a strong first impression the moment you walk in. The space feels expansive, well-planned, and unmistakably premium—something frequent flyers will immediately appreciate.
First Impressions: Big, Bold & Beautiful
The lounge opens into a cinema-themed zone that cleverly doubles up as the bar area. It’s a smart design choice that adds character instead of the usual generic airport lounge vibe.
At check-in, you’re handed a chit for a complimentary drink. It’s a controlled system—no unlimited refills—but still a nice perk. I went with a packaged mango juice this time.
Space & Ambience: One of the Largest Around
As you move further in, the scale of the lounge really stands out. It just keeps extending, with multiple seating zones that never feel cramped. The interiors are tasteful without being overdone.
A standout feature is the large central dining table—ideal if you’re travelling in a group and want to sit together instead of being scattered across the lounge.
Food & Beverage: Decent Spread with Local Touches
The buffet is well-stocked with a good variety of options, including a LIVE chaat counter, which adds a nice Indian street-food element.
I opted for Bangalore’s popular Benne dosa—it was good and satisfying, though not exceptional. That said, the overall spread is solid enough to cater to most tastes.
Facilities: Thoughtful Details Matter
Even the restrooms deserve a mention—they’re modern, high-tech, and well-maintained, which isn’t always a given in airport lounges.
The View: A Quiet Highlight
One of the underrated features here is the view. The lounge offers a bird’s-eye perspective of the beautifully designed airport, adding a calm, almost cinematic backdrop to your wait before boarding.
How Does It Compare?
In terms of sheer size and layout, this is easily one of the biggest lounges I’ve experienced—comparable only to major international hubs like Istanbul Airport.
