Sharjah Art Foundation Announces Grand Reopening of Al Majarrah Park with Art, Music and Family Activities

Dubai, 16 May 2026: Sharjah Art Foundation has announced a special public programme to celebrate the reopening of Al Majarrah Park on 21 May 2026, transforming the popular public space into a vibrant destination for art, culture and community engagement.

The redesigned park has been developed in collaboration with internationally renowned artist collective SUPERFLEX, blending contemporary art with Sharjah’s heritage environment through interactive installations and community-focused spaces.

Taking place from 7:30 PM to 10:00 PM, the reopening celebration will feature a series of engaging activities for visitors of all ages. Guests can enjoy “Stroll and Sketch,” a self-guided creative experience encouraging participants to observe and draw elements of the park’s landscape, sculptures and pathways.

Adventure seekers aged 15 and above can join the “Uncover Al Majarrah Park” scavenger hunt, exploring architectural details, artistic elements and hidden features throughout the area.

Families and young children can also participate in the “Art Adventure: Early Learning Station,” offering hands-on activities inspired by the shapes, textures and colours found around the park.

The evening will conclude with a live traditional Pashtun music performance by Inam and Friends, led by rabab player Muhammad Inam alongside Bakht Wali on tabla and Saeed Ullah on harmonium.

The reopening reflects Sharjah Art Foundation’s continued commitment to creating accessible cultural spaces that encourage learning, creativity and social interaction. The project also joins the Foundation’s growing portfolio of public art initiatives across Sharjah.

Al Majarrah Park was developed in collaboration with SUPERFLEX, Schul Landscape Architects and KWY.studio, with support from Sharjah Municipality and the Sharjah Department of Public Works.

Entry is free and open to the public, with no prior booking required.
