IBPC Dubai Marks India at 80 with Strong Message on UAE-India Partnership
IBPC Dubai celebrates India’s 80th Independence Day in Dubai, highlighting the growing UAE-India partnership and recognising leading business and community figures.

Held at InterContinental Dubai Festival City, the celebration brought together former Union Minister Meenakshi Lekhi, Consul General of India to Dubai HE Dr E. Vishnu Vardhan Reddy, senior business leaders, entrepreneurs and members of the Indian community.
Themed “Two Nations, One Heart,” the evening brought together technology, business and culture, including a digital lamp-lighting ceremony using a QR code, reflecting India’s digital transformation and Dubai’s innovation-driven identity.IBPC Dubai Chairman Siddharth Balachandran highlighted the evolving relationship between India and the UAE, describing the partnership as one built on shared ambitions and a common future.
Delivering the keynote address, Meenakshi Lekhi highlighted India's growing global influence and the important role of the Indian diaspora in the UAE, while praising the two nations' shared values of tolerance and resilience.
Consul General Dr E. Vishnu Vardhan Reddy said the theme reflected the strong cultural, historical and economic ties between India and the UAE, while highlighting the growing importance of bilateral trade and business relations.
The event also recognised prominent leaders for their contributions to the India-UAE economic relationship, including executives from Emirates NBD, DP World GCC and LuLu Retail Holdings, while the late Shri Vasu Shroff was honoured for his philanthropic contribution.IBPC Dubai also announced the IBPC Annual Awards 2027, which will recognise achievements across business, leadership, sustainability, social impact and community contributions.
The evening concluded with cultural performances, including Vande Mataram – Rang De Bharat and a tribute to legendary singer Asha Bhosle, followed by a gala dinner.
The celebration reinforced a powerful message: the India-UAE relationship is evolving from historic ties into a partnership driven by innovation, ambition and a shared future.
