Dubai, 24 August 2026: The Esports World Cup 2026 has concluded in Paris with AG.AL crowned the Club Champion after finishing first in the overall standings with 5,300 points and securing the tournament's $7 million grand prize.

Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud attended the closing ceremony alongside French President Emmanuel Macron, witnessing the championship presentation.

The Crown Prince's attendance highlighted Saudi Arabia's continued support for the global gaming and esports industry and its ambition to remain at the forefront of the sector's growth.

The 2026 edition recorded significant audience growth, with more than 850 million viewers following the competition across digital platforms worldwide. The tournament generated over 440 million hours of watch time, with content distributed in 47 languages. Ticket sales for esports competitions also increased by 94%.

Held from July 6 to August 23, the tournament brought together more than 2,000 professional players representing 200 clubs from 100 countries. Competitors took part in 25 tournaments across some of the world's leading esports titles, competing for a prize pool of more than $75 million.

The Paris edition marked a major milestone as the first Esports World Cup held outside Saudi Arabia, following Riyadh's hosting of the inaugural editions in 2024 and 2025.

According to Esports World Cup Foundation CEO Ralf Reichert, the Paris edition demonstrates how a Saudi-born esports platform can grow into a global sporting and cultural event, while Riyadh remains the home of the Esports World Cup.

Launched in 2023 as a Saudi initiative with global ambitions, the Esports World Cup continues to expand its international reach, connecting players and fans while creating new opportunities across gaming, entertainment, technology and esports.
