₹11 Crore+ Raised and Counting: GJEPC’s Jewellers for Hope Supports Education Across India
GJEPC’s Jewellers for Hope 2026 has raised the Indian jewellery industry’s total contributions beyond ₹11 crore across 16 organisations, with Madhuri Dixit and Rahul Narwekar joining industry leaders at the Mumbai CSR gala.
Dubai, 09 August 2026: The 11th edition of Jewellers for Hope 2026, the flagship CSR initiative of the Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC), brought together India's jewellery industry in Mumbai to support education and long-term social impact.
Held on 6 August at the Grand Hyatt, Mumbai, the annual initiative has now channelled more than ₹11 crore across 16 organisations since its launch in 2014.
The evening was attended by Shri Rahul Narwekar, Speaker of the Maharashtra State Legislative Assembly, as Chief Guest, along with Bollywood actor and philanthropist Madhuri Dixit and leading figures from India's gems and jewellery industry.
Jewellers for Hope has supported a wide range of causes over the years, including girl child education, healthcare, tribal welfare, sanitation, child trafficking rescue, disability support, maternal care, mental health services and armed forces welfare.
This year's fundraising will focus on education, with contributions channelled through the Gem & Jewellery National Relief Foundation (GJNRF) to support the educational needs of children over the next three to four years.
GJEPC Chairman Kirit Bhansali highlighted the industry's commitment to giving back to society, emphasising that the initiative reflects the values of compassion and social responsibility that extend beyond the industry's business and craftsmanship.
Madhuri Dixit, who has been associated with causes including child welfare, women's empowerment and education, also addressed the gathering and encouraged greater support for initiatives that create meaningful change in people's lives.
One of the evening's key highlights was the 'Dinner with an Icon' auction, where guests bid for the opportunity to spend an evening with Dr. Saurabh Gadgil. The proceeds were donated to Access Life, an organisation supporting children undergoing cancer treatment and their families.
Over 11 editions, Jewellers for Hope has grown into a significant CSR platform for India's gem and jewellery industry, bringing together business leaders, philanthropists and partners to support communities across the country.
As the initiative continues to expand its impact, Jewellers for Hope 2026 reinforced a message that goes beyond the sparkle of India's jewellery sector — true brilliance is also measured by the lives an industry helps transform.
