Dubai, 26 Sep 2026: Nineteen years after his debut in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Saawariya, Ranbir Kapoor reunites with the filmmaker for Love & War, taking on a new and intense screen avatar.
The newly released character posters show Ranbir in a cool and mysterious look, dressed in blue and marked by what appears to be a bullet wound. The first glimpse has already sparked curiosity around his character and his role in the film’s central story.
Adding to the intrigue is the music accompanying the reveal. A smooth retro rock-and-jazz-inspired track with a distinct 1970s feel gives the character a relaxed and confident energy, creating an interesting contrast with his battle-worn appearance.
The first look also raises questions about the relationship between Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal, whose characters form the heart of Love & War.
Directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, the film is expected to bring together his signature visual style, detailed storytelling and large-scale filmmaking. The project marks another collaboration between Bhansali and Ranbir Kapoor after Saawariya.
Love & War stars Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal. The film is scheduled to release worldwide in cinemas on 21 January 2027, in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu, through Marudhar Entertainment.
