Dubai, 27 August 2026: One of Dubai’s most recognisable landmarks on Sheikh Zayed Road, the Nasser Rashid Lootah Building, popularly known as the ‘Toyota Building’, is coming to the end of its journey.
The building has stood as part of Dubai’s changing skyline for almost half a century, witnessing the city transform from a growing metropolis into one of the world’s most recognisable cities.
Toyota says it is sad to see the building’s story come to an end, but is also looking forward to the future of the prime location. Over the years, Dubai has added some of the world’s most famous landmarks, including the Dubai World Trade Centre, Burj Khalifa and Dubai Mall, all becoming part of the city’s remarkable transformation.
But there is some good news for fans of the famous landmark: the Toyota sign is not disappearing. Toyota has confirmed plans to carry the famous sign’s legacy forward, with more details expected to be revealed in the coming months.
And before the final farewell to the ‘Toyota Building’, Toyota has teased one last surprise coming this September.
