Abu Dhabi Summer Sports 2026 Gets Cultural Boost With Emirati Heritage Experiences by DCT Abu Dhabi
The Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi has joined Abu Dhabi Summer Sports 2026 as its Strategic Culture Partner, bringing traditional Emirati games, crafts, Gahwa ceremonies, workshops and family-friendly heritage experiences to ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi until 23 August.
Dubai, 28 July 2026: The Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi) has partnered with Abu Dhabi Summer Sports (ADSS) 2026 as its Strategic Culture Partner, introducing an immersive cultural experience that celebrates Emirati heritage alongside the UAE's largest indoor summer sports event.
Running until 23 August 2026 at ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi, the Abu Dhabi Culture Pavilion offers visitors of all ages an opportunity to explore traditional Emirati games, artisan craft workshops, Emirati Gahwa ceremonies, family art activities and interactive cultural experiences.
Highlights include Bait Al Gahwa workshops showcasing the traditions of Emirati coffee and hospitality, hands-on sessions in Sadu weaving, Talli, pottery, heritage games, storytelling, literature activities and youth-focused cultural programmes. Visitors can also enjoy workshops presented by renowned institutions including Louvre Abu Dhabi, Zayed National Museum, Guggenheim Abu Dhabi, Natural History Museum Abu Dhabi and Al Maqta'a Museum.
Designed for families, students and visitors of all ages, the initiative reflects DCT Abu Dhabi's commitment to preserving and promoting the UAE's rich cultural heritage while creating engaging community experiences throughout the summer.
The Abu Dhabi Culture Pavilion is open daily from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM at ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi until 23 August 2026.
