Meet Cariuma: The Ethical Shoe Brand That Took Over Olympic Skateboarding, Rivaling Nike

Dubai, United Arab Emirates, 23 August 2024 - While the Summer Games might have wrapped up for the season, Cariuma, the visionary B-Corp and conscious sneaker brand, is thrilled that their skate team, Jagger Eaton from the USA, took home the silver medal while sporting his signature Cariuma shoe. Meanwhile, half of the finals were made up of riders from team Cariuma such as Richard Tury (Slovakia), Kelvin Hoefler (Brazil), Jagger Eaton (USA), and Matias Dell Olio (Argentina).

A brand founded six years ago has come to dominate the sport, take over the Skateboarding finals, and even rival Nike in skateboarding space. Cariuma has a longstanding relationship with its skate and surf teams and had 16 athletes take part in the games in Paris 2024 for the street and park-skateboarding events hailing from the United States, Portugal, Spain, The Netherlands, Brazil, Slovakia, Argentina, and more.

Moreover, Cariuma worked together with its skaters Roos Zwetsloot (The Netherlands), Gusatavo Ribero (Portugal) and Riso Tury (Slovakia) and personalised uniforms that reflects their native country.

Cariuma believes that sustainability should be central to the future of all sports, creating with ethos and intentionality at every level. Each style is crafted from ethical materials and built to last under the toughest conditions.
