Sharjah Art Foundation Opens Free Art Library Membership to the Public

Dubai, 15 July 2026: Sharjah Art Foundation has launched a free membership programme for its SAF Reference Library, offering artists, researchers, university students and art enthusiasts greater access to one of the UAE's valuable art and cultural research collections.

Located in the Foundation's Bank Street Building, the library houses more than 5,000 resources, including books, exhibition catalogues, art magazines, digital archives, architectural projects and audiovisual materials. The collection also features rare exhibition catalogues and specialist publications covering art, history, philosophy, social sciences and cultural studies.

Members can access the library from Monday to Thursday between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm using a digital membership card. The programme also includes one-on-one research consultations, curated reading recommendations, digital scanning support for selected materials and access to the Curator's Shelf, featuring publications that have influenced the Foundation's exhibitions.

The initiative aims to create a vibrant community for learning, research and cultural exchange while supporting artists and creatives in developing their work.

Registration is free, and interested members can browse the catalogue and apply through the Sharjah Art Foundation website.
