Pankaj Tripathi Takes the IIFA Stage in a New Role for 2027

Dubai, 22 September 2026: The countdown to IIFA 2027 has begun, and actor Pankaj Tripathi is set to take on a new role as the host of the IIFA Digital Awards 2027 in Abu Dhabi.

The acclaimed actor will make his hosting debut at the digital awards, which will be part of the 27th Edition of IIFA Weekend & Awards at Etihad Arena, Yas Island, on 22 and 23 January 2027.

Known for his distinctive screen presence and natural charm, Tripathi will step onto the IIFA stage for his first-ever awards show hosting experience.

Speaking about the opportunity, Tripathi said he was excited and slightly nervous about hosting for the first time. He also described the digital world as an important part of how stories are now created, discovered and enjoyed.

The actor added that IIFA’s recognition of a new generation of digital storytellers makes the opportunity particularly meaningful. He said he looks forward to bringing warmth and humour to the stage and experiencing the IIFA celebrations from a different perspective.

The IIFA Digital Awards 2027 will celebrate the changing world of digital storytelling and recognise the artists and creators shaping the next generation of entertainment.

The two-day IIFA 2027 celebration will bring together stars, performers and entertainment personalities for a weekend of music, awards and live entertainment in Abu Dhabi.

With Pankaj Tripathi making his hosting debut and more hosts and performers expected to be announced, IIFA 2027 is set to add another major entertainment event to Yas Island’s calendar.

The 27th IIFA Weekend & Awards will take place on 22–23 January 2027 at Etihad Arena, Yas Island, Abu Dhabi.
