After a 30% increase in visitors during December 2023 compared to December 2022, and welcoming over 11.2 million guests during 2023, the destination promises a captivating array of new experiences for its visitors.
Battersea Power Station has recently earned prestigious recognition, securing a spot as one of the top 20 Best Cultural Spots on National Geographic's BEST OF THE WORLD 2024 list. This acknowledgement adds to the allure of the venue, making it a magnet for not only Londoners but visitors from across the globe and the Middle East. The diverse calendar of events and cultural activities, coupled with over 140 shops, restaurants, cafes and unique leisure experiences across the neighbourhood, solidifies Battersea Power Station as a powerhouse of cultural significance in London, a vibrant and dynamic destination for a diverse range of visitors.
The 2023 Battersea Games paved the way for Battersea Power Station to be named the official London fan zone for the Paris 2024 Olympics and Paralympics, and the return of the established annual Light Festival from January 25th to February 25th, 2024, adds to the cultural marvels that await visitors.
Recognised as one of London's most experiential destinations, Battersea Power Station also welcomed successful brand pop-ups in 2023, including the Aperol Spritz® Aperidisco, Jaeger-LeCoultre Golden Ratio Musical Show with TØKIO M¥ERS and the NFL London Experience.
Food and Drink
The culinary scene at Battersea Power Station grew with several new openings in 2023 which contributed to a 25% increase in evening visitors in the second half of the year. These included Arcade Food Hall, which is home to 13 different cuisines, two bars and three standalone restaurants, the first Tashas in the UK and Dishoom to name a few.
The culinary offering will continue to captivate guests in 2024 with further openings from innovative food and beverage brands including Mexican restaurant, El Pastor, and more to be announced shortly.
In-Store for 2024
Battersea Power Station has a lot to promise its visitors in 2024. An influx of further retail and leisure brands include; So.Shell Nail & Brow Bar, the latest, luxury health club from Third Space, a LIPS Pharmacy and LIPS Healthcare Clinic and Diagnostic Centre.
The neighbourhood’s expansion continues with the launch of 50 Electric Boulevard, a state-of-the-art office building designed by Foster + Partners. Additionally, the residential community will grow with the completion of Koa at Electric Boulevard, offering 204 new apartments.
CONNECTIVITY
With its own Zone 1 London Underground station, Battersea Power Station is just 15 minutes from the West End and the City. Accessibility is further enhanced via the Uber Boat by Thames Clippers river bus service, bike, train and on foot, solidifying Battersea Power Station's status as one of London’s must-visit destinations.
