India beat South Africa by 7 runs to emerge World Cup Champions
After 11 years, India once again claimed the World Cup title this time in Barbados in a nail biting finale against South Africa
It was a tightly contested match against Proteas in Barbados as Jasprit Bumrah and Hardik Pandya finally led India to an almost impossible win.
And this was an iconic match and a memorable tournament. For staters, India sailed through till the semis and even when the going got tough, the men in blue remained calm and worked their magic.

Virat Kohli announced his retirement from World Cup and seven months after India's humilating defeat in Ahmedabad, they went all the way to lifting the cup at the ICC T20 men's World Cup championship, creating history.
The last time India won the World Cup was in 2011 and before that in 1983. And now, in 2024, the team has once again made heads turn with their consistent performance and near perfect partnerships.
