Big B Hospitalised

Veteran Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan, is getting on in years and it’s evident from his recent health issues. Complaining of general discomfort, the 81-year-old was rushed to Mumbai’s Kokilaben Hospital early on the morning of Friday, March 15, 2024. 

Contrary to initial reports, doctors at the hospital conducted an angioplasty not on Mr. Bachchan’s heart, but in fact, on a clot in his leg. Hospital authorities confirmed to the media that the procedure was simple, speedy and successful and that the celebrity patient was discharged in stable condition. He was even well enough to express his gratitude on his social media platform.

The Big B has appeared in nearly 200 films across his illustrious career which spans over 5 decades. This perhaps makes him the most prolific Bollywood star ever. And this gung-ho grand daddy doesn’t seem likely to throw in the towel too soon. Even injuries can’t keep him off the filmi set. 

Why, over the last few months while shooting for the upcoming film Kalki 2898, Mr. Bachchan suffered a back strain. But after a few days of bed rest, he was up and about and back in front of the cameras. There were also rumours that he was in critical condition earlier this years, but investigations proved these claims to be a falsehood. It looks like the Don will continue to stay in “Action” till only Fate dare say “Cut!”
