Abu Dhabi Is Getting Three Massive Harry Potter-Themed Lands by 2029
Miral and Warner Bros. Discovery Global Experiences have announced three new Harry Potter-themed lands at Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi: Diagon Alley, Hogwarts and the Forbidden Forest. The expansion is targeted for completion in 2029 and will feature world-exclusive rides and immersive experiences.
Dubai, 12 September 2026:
The expansion will introduce Diagon Alley, Hogwarts and the Forbidden Forest across approximately 63,000 square metres. Construction is targeted for completion in 2029.
The new areas will feature world-exclusive Harry Potter-themed rides created specifically for Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi. Through immersive design, storytelling and interactive experiences, visitors will be transported into some of the most recognisable locations from the Wizarding World.
The announcement marks another major step in the continued expansion of Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi, the region’s largest indoor theme park.
“The introduction of the three new Harry Potter-themed lands represents a significant milestone in the continued evolution of Yas Island and the emirate of Abu Dhabi,” said HE Mohamed Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairman of Miral. He added that the expansion supports Abu Dhabi’s growing tourism and entertainment ambitions while strengthening Yas Island’s position as a global leisure destination.
Warner Bros. Discovery also highlighted the project’s focus on creating world-class immersive experiences based on its iconic stories and characters.
The Harry Potter lands will form part of a wider expansion of Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi. The park will also add two previously announced DC attractions, Kryptonite Collider and Superman Up and Away.
Together, these developments are expected to increase the park’s overall size by more than 50%, adding around 70,000 square metres of new theme park space.
Since opening, Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi has brought popular Warner Bros. characters and stories to life through attractions, rides and family entertainment. The upcoming Harry Potter expansion is set to take that experience to another level, adding three major lands and exclusive attractions to the park.
For Harry Potter fans, the wait now begins for 2029 — when Diagon Alley, Hogwarts and the Forbidden Forest are expected to become a new magical highlight on Yas Island.
