South Indian Actress Arundhathi Nair Critical

March 19, 2024: The 10-year film career of South Indian celluloid actress Arundhathi Nair has been jolted by a serious accident, which has left her in critical condition. Nair who had arrived on the movie scene in the 2014 Tamil film Ponge Erzu Manohara, was reportedly hit by a vehicle on Thursday, March 14, 2024 while cycling in her native state of Kerala.

The actress who garnered much praise for a dual role in the Tamil hit Shaitan was in the company of her brother on the Kovalam Bypass Road at the time of the accident. Help did not reach them for over an hour, after which Nair was rushed to a nearby hospital. The patient’s sister Arathy recently took to Instagram to divulge details of the mishap and her sibling’s critical condition.

While the badly-injured Arundhathi is hovering between life and death, there’s more bad news for the Nair family. The hospital bills are piling up and the brood’s resources to meet them are running out. In a desperate bid for financial help, Arathy has shared bank details for her sister’s fans and colleagues to pour in money. The patient is currently on a ventilator.

The wounded actress made her Malayalam film debut in 2018 with the movie Ottakoru Kaamukam – opposite Shine Tom Chacko. Her last film to hit theatres was last year’s Tamil flick Aayiram Porkaasukal. Fans will no doubt be praying that she recovers and returns to the silver screen.
