The celebrated duo is running for cover after severe leakage and mould issues rendered their expansive mansion unlivable.
All is not well at the home of celebrity couple – Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas. No, nothing is the matter with their relationship - as their blissful marriage of nearly 6 years and counting will attest to. But their 20 million dollar mansion, which they moved into in September, 2019, is apparently not worth every buck of its price tag. There are demons in this top California domicile and not the Amityville or Exorcist kind. Still, the issues are just as worrying and have induced Mr. and Mrs. Jonas to pack and leave their home-sweet-home.
Contaminated water is the culprit that forced the star duo out of their luxurious den. Faulty and substandard pipes and tubes have caused the aqua-damage, which in turn has led to mould infestation. This has seriously blighted the opulent dwelling, which is equipped with an extraordinary collection of facilities. Are you ready for this? The palatial house boasts 7 bedrooms, 9 bathrooms, a chef’s kitchen, a wine cellar, an indoor basketball court, bowling alley and billiards room, a home theatre and entertainment lounge, as well as a gym and spa.
While all these features make for a healthy living, the copious amounts of mould have made for quite the health hazard. And so, the disgruntled owners have initiated legal proceedings against the concerned realtor company. Yes, hubby and wife are seeking compensation to the tune of 2.5 million dollars in redressing the house’s grave problems. That’s more than 10% of their original receipt for the abode.
So which were the particular areas that fell prey to the onslaught and made the house unliveable? According to a report from the media source Page Six, these include the pool and spa, the barbecue area on the deck and a significant portion of the interior living area. It looks like the couple would feel more secure in a tar paper shanty! However, these leakage problems have not entirely dampened the couple’s spirits. The two were recently spotted discharging vocals and shaking a leg at Mumbai’s recent Lollapalooza music fest. How’s that for dancing the blues away!
