Meet Dubai’s 10-Year-Old Author Turning Her Dog Story into Animal Aid
10-year-old Dubai author Aryahi Tiwari has launched Paw-sitively Royal, a children’s book told through the eyes of a tiny teacup poodle. The young author is donating her earnings to animal shelters in the UAE and India.

Published by Anecdote Publishing House, Paw-sitively Royal tells the story of Royal, a tiny teacup poodle with a big personality and an even bigger heart. The story is narrated entirely from Royal’s point of view, giving young readers a playful look at family, friendship, courage and belonging.
Through Royal’s eyes, readers follow his adventures as he welcomes a new brother, Rockstar, spends time with his best friend Rocket, faces his fears and discovers what it means to be part of a family.
Written with humour and imagination, the book aims to entertain young readers while also highlighting the special bond between people and their pets.
But Paw-sitively Royal is more than a children’s story. Aryahi is donating her earnings from the book to animal charities supporting a pet shelter in Dubai and a cow shelter in India.
The contribution to the Dubai pet shelter is being made through a K9 membership, helping support its ongoing care programmes. The funds are intended to contribute towards food, shelter and medical care for animals in need.
“I wanted my book to do more than make people smile. I wanted it to help animals too,” said Aryahi Tiwari. “I hope readers enjoy Royal’s adventures and, at the same time, remember how much love and kindness animals deserve.”
Aryahi is a Year 6 student at Nord Anglia International School Dubai. Alongside writing, she takes part in mathematics competitions, has a Cambridge coding certification and is a certified dog trainer.
She also represents her school in netball, basketball and rounders, has received the Coach’s Choice Award multiple times and has won medals in gymnastics. Her interests also include ballet, art, 3D sculpture, drama, choir and piano.
Described as an animal lover and an “all-rounder”, Aryahi says kindness, diversity and inclusion are important values in her life.
