This Dinner Has More Drama Than Your Group Chat
The Fourth Course blends theatre and fine dining inside a private Dubai villa. Here’s our Reviewron take on this immersive four-course experience.
Dubai, 27th January 2026: Dubai has always had a reputation for doing things differently — and The Fourth Course is yet another example of the city pushing experiential boundaries.
Recently, I was invited to attend an exclusive four-course immersive dinner experience hosted inside a private villa in Dubai. Conceptualised, written and directed by Rashmi Kotriwala, The Fourth Course isn’t just about what’s served on the table — it’s about what unfolds around it.
The experience begins the moment you arrive. Guests enter the villa carrying a “fake gift” for a fictional couple celebrating their silver jubilee anniversary. It’s a clever icebreaker that immediately blurs the line between audience and participant — because here, everyone has a part to play.
As I was guided to my table, it became clear that the guest list is just as thoughtfully curated as the evening’s menu, created by Puja Verma. The setting feels intimate, warm and deliberately personal — far removed from conventional restaurant dining.
As the courses begin to flow, the play slowly reveals itself. Conversations, confrontations and emotional beats play out in perfect rhythm with what’s being served — drama unfolding both on the plate and beyond it. The storytelling never overwhelms the dining experience; instead, it complements it, making every course feel like a chapter rather than just a dish.
Dubai has seen its share of playful social concepts — from mock sangeets to staged wedding experiences — but The Fourth Course feels like a more evolved, refined take on immersive entertainment. Here, the acting may be scripted, but the indulgence is very real.
What truly stands out is how seamlessly theatre and hospitality merge. You’re not watching a performance from a distance — you’re seated within it, reacting naturally as the evening unfolds.
The next edition of The Fourth Course takes place on 13th February, with a special Valentine’s-themed experience. Seats are intentionally limited to preserve the intimacy of the concept. For more details and bookings, visit @thefourthcourse on Instagram.
For those looking to experience something beyond standard dinner plans, this is one evening that genuinely stands apart.
