Kailash Parbat was founded by Late Shri. Parsram Mulchandani in Karachi, Pakistan. He started by selling pani puri on Bans Road. In 1952, he opened Kailash Parbat Hindu Hotel in First Pasta Lane, Colaba. Since then, the restaurant has become a landmark for ethnic Sindhi and North Indian cuisine in Mumbai. Starting with pani puri and ragda pattice, the restaurant gradually expanded its menu to include delicacies like Delhi chaat, special dahi puri, dahi wada, and a variety of chaats and falooda kulfi.
