You Won’t Believe What This Indian Artist Does Every Morning Before Painting

There are exhibitions… and then there’s “Abstract Reality.”

The kind of show that makes you pause, breathe, and question whether art can actually change the energy in a room.

From 5 December 2025 to 10 January 2026, Andakulova Gallery (DIFC) is unveiling the latest solo showcase by renowned Indian painter Silajit Ghosh — an artist whose daily discipline is as astonishing as the work itself.

And trust us, this isn’t your typical gallery stroll.

The Story Behind the Art: A Life Built Around Rhythm, Breath & Spiritual Energy

Born in Kolkata in 1959, Silajit Ghosh isn’t just a painter.

He’s a practitioner of daily yogic ritual — waking up at 4:00 AM, practising hatha-yoga, pranayama, breathwork, and spending hours in nature until 10:00 AM every single day for decades.

That rhythm, that stillness, that meditative trance — it all pours directly into his artwork.

His canvases don’t try to show the world.

They try to feel it.

What Makes “Abstract Reality” So Different?

Instead of literal images or traditional landscapes, Ghosh paints the intangible: emotion, intuition, vibration, and spiritual harmony.

Expect:

  • Colour stories that behave like sound waves
  • Fluid lines that feel musical
  • Energies that shift as you stare at them
  • Powerful blacks, lyrical reds, calming blues — each with a purpose
  • A sense of cosmic connection that lingers long after you leave

This is art you don’t just see.

This is art you absorb.

Why Dubai Collectors Are Keeping an Eye on This Show

Ghosh has spent over 45 years refining his craft.

His work has appeared in:

  • Art India
  • The Telegraph
  • Times of India
  • The Economic Times
  • SAATCHIART
  • ARTSY
  • Agora Gallery, New York

He’s won awards from the West Bengal State Fine Art Council, Lalit Kala Academy, Birla Academy, and more.

But what truly makes this exhibition special is the collaboration with Indian Master Painters, a platform that’s been championing Indian fine arts since 1995 — long before digital art spaces became mainstream.
