Truth Behind Raveena Tandon Assault Video is Shocking and Deeply Disturbing

Since this morning, the footage of Raveena Tandon’s attack near her home in Bandra in Mumbai has been going viral. The video shows Raveena pleading to an angry mob to not assault and hit her. This after a group of Burqa-clad women accused her of assaulting them after accusing the driver of her luxury SUV of hitting one of the women. But this is the whole truth. From whatever I know of Raveena Tandon, it's really hard to believe that she will assault anyone let alone get into a fight if she or her staff is in the wrong. She is indeed one of the best human beings who I have met and known for years in the industry. She has no starry airs or attitude and has always been respectful towards everyone, extremely warm and approachable.

So far, here’s what we know.

Minutes after this mobile camera footage, a CCTV footage was posted on X, showing a white SUV slowly maneuvering towards the gate of a plush villa in one of the lanes that looks like Bandra West in Mumbai where Raveena Tandon lives. Having been to Raveena Tandon’s house, this journalist can confirm that this does look like her house but given the bad quality of the footage and no recognisable landmarks one cannot be absolutely sure. Neither can we ascertain if this is indeed Raveena Tandon’s car. But as this footage clearly shows, the car did not hit anyone despite the women coming dangerously close to it, the driver manages to dodge them and get the car safely inside the gate of the villa.

News18 has reported quoting a source that The way this episode has been portrayed is wrong. CCTV footage from around the area prove that a group of women came outside Raveena Tandon’s home in the evening and they were the ones who started shouting at and fighting with the driver. She joined them just to protect her driver.

Many netizens in comments on our video on Instagram said, Raveena should not have come in front of the crowd even if the driver had hit one of the women. The best way to deal with such situations is to keep sitting inside the car, lock it from within and call police immediately.

The News18 report further questions why did the injured women not go to the police if Raveena’s driver had injured them? It says, “Unlike what’s going around in the news, Raveena wasn’t drunk. The news that the driver attacked these women is also false and fabricated.” We reached out to  Raveena to find out the truth but so far there has been no reaction or reply from her. Media reports too confirm that she has refrained from sharing any statement as the matter is with her lawyer now.

But here’s the real breaking news. The Khar police has now confirmed that neither the actress, Raveena Tandon, nor her driver was drunk.

Speaking with Mid-Day, DCP Rajtilak Roshan of Zone 9 said, "The complainant gave a false complaint in the alleged video. We checked the entire CCTV footage of the society and found that the actress's driver was reversing the car from the road into the society when this family was crossing the same lane. The family stopped the car and told the driver that he should check if people are behind the car before reversing. This argument started between them."

"This argument escalated into abusive language, and actress Raveena Tandon arrived at the spot to check what had happened with her driver. The actress tried to protect the driver from the mob; however, the mob started abusing her. Both Raveena Tandon and the family went to the Khar police station and gave written complaints. Later, they both also submitted letters stating they did not want to register any complaints," DCP Rajtilak Roshan explained.

DCP Rajtilak Roshan further stated, "Nobody was injured in this incident. We checked the CCTV footage, and the car did not hit anyone. The actress was not drunk."

Meanwhile, the internet has erupted in support of Raveena Tandon. #istandwithraveenatandon has started making the rounds. An X user by the name MirchiMedia tweeted, “@TandonRaveena careful mam..your surroundings are waiting to harm you in anyway possible... Stay strong...????????????”

Another one wrote, “However, no one has a right to assault anyone in the event of an accident. Where is our society heading?????”

But one user had a completely different take questioning if this was indeed a promotional gimmick for a new film. “Raveena Tandon ki koi movie aa rahi kya. Promotion lag raha hai,” wrote an X user named @Rambhakt7097
