Masterclass on 'Gift of Forgiveness' Kicks Off on First Day of Ramadan

March 1, 2025, Dubai, UAE — In a heartwarming start to the Holy Month of Ramadan, the Raja Yoga Center hosted its first community service event of the year at the Dubai Police Officer’s Club, offering a public lecture on The Gift of Forgiveness. The event, held in collaboration with Mudra Events, welcomed over 200 attendees who gathered to explore the profound and transformative nature of forgiveness.

Renowned speaker Mr. Charlie Hogg, National Coordinator of the Brahma Kumaris Australia, led the enlightening session. With over 50 years of experience as a meditation teacher, Mr. Hogg has travelled to more than 80 countries, sharing his wisdom on meditation, spirituality, and personal transformation. His engaging talk centred on the role of forgiveness in releasing emotional pain, fostering love, and achieving inner peace.

“For me, forgiveness is about cancelling all the conditions in my mind that prevent me from being loving or happy,” Mr. Hogg explained. “It is a decision to no longer punish myself with negative thoughts and instead move to a place where I can offer compassion.”

The session delved into thought-provoking questions such as:
•    Is it easy to forgive?
•    Are there limits to forgiveness?
•    Can we forgive without speaking or offering words?

Mr. Hogg emphasized that forgiveness begins within: “The inner journey is about learning about the self. By letting go of ego and embracing humility, we release a quality of peace into our being. This inner practice transforms not only us but also our relationships with others.”

After his speech, the audience opened their thoughts and hearts and shared their experiences. Through this powerful dialogue, participants left inspired to embrace forgiveness as a tool for personal and collective healing, unlocking a deeper flow of love and peace in their lives.

The event was part of the Raja Yoga Center’s ongoing initiatives supporting the UAE’s Year of Community, reflecting its commitment to fostering growth for self-development and harmony in the society.
