“Untraceable” Evidence in Sheena Bora Murder Case Found!
This is strange new development leaves the CBI looking foolish and the accused’s fortunes imperilled.
New Delhi, July 11, 2024: Former media executive Indrani Mukerjea, who allegedly killed her daughter Sheena Bora in 2012, can’t breathe easy just yet. Only weeks after it looked like the embattled Mrs. Mukerjea would walk on account of incriminating evidence having “disappeared”, it has mysteriously been recovered.
The prosecution has informed the New Delhi court which is overseeing the case, that the claimed skeleton of the deceased Ms. Bora has been located at the office of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). This twist in the tale comes after the prosecution stated on April 24th this year, and again on June 10th, that the bones in question could not be found.
Now, it looks like a skeleton is literally tumbling out of the CBI’s closet. Prosecution attorney C.J. Nandode confirmed that Sheena’s mortal remains were discovered in a store room of the investigative agency. The lawyer added that the articles were not considered as valid proof in the case at the time of filing the chargesheet, and hence, they were not stocked away carefully.
In a separate development, an e-mail has surfaced indicating that a key witness has just come into a lot of wealth. Prompted by a plea from the defence lawyers, the concerned judge S.P. Naik Nimbalkar, has ordered the CBI to launch an investigation and deliver a response accordingly. The accused Mrs. Mukerjea is out on bail in the case which was registered in 2015.
Three years earlier, she had reportedly strangled her daughter with the assistance of her then husband Sanjeev Khanna and their driver Shyamvar Rai. The trio also allegedly tried to burn the body leaving residual remains – an allegation that Mrs. Mukerjea has vociferous denied. Like her daughter’s remains, Indrani’s reputation since then, has gone down in flames. Will the accused be able to pull a phoenix?
