Bollywood star, show producer and versatile actress Priyanka Chopra recently made her maiden pilgrimage to the newly inaugurated Ram Mandir in India’s Ayodhya district. Joining her on the holy visit with her hubby Nick Jonas and their toddler daughter Malti Marie Jonas. But it was not just Priyanka's sacred trip that has caught the attention of netizens, but also the valuable ethnic clothing she had donned for it.
The global icon’s yellow saree immediately drew gazes with its phool-pati or flower-and-leaves motif as well as the golden border. The product of the Raw Mango brand may have looked fittingly traditional, but its value is what is raising eye-brows and causing jaws to drop. Yes, the glowing chanderi silk attire reportedly bears a price tag of Rs. 63,800 (768 USD)!
The cost of the saree of course, is chicken feed for the celebrity whose net worth is estimated at almost 75 million USD. And anyway, Priyanka probably felt it was necessary to be well-attired for the auspicious occasion, with embellishments including glass bangles and a bindi. In contrast, PeeCee’s hubby turned out in a modest white kurta-pajama while their progeny looked charming in her little peach suit.
