The Sharjah government is partnering with retailers to dazzle kids who are set to hit school again.
Sharjah, August 19, 2024: As the summer begins to wind down, parents are winding up their children - as though they were dolls – to return to school. Yes, come August 26th, kids have to snap out of holiday mode and take their seats in class again. But to make this transition a tad easier and more appealing for the young beasts of burden, the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) has come up with a unique little initiative.
Between August 23rd and 25th, the governmental department is organising workshops and entertainment programmes at the popular 06 Mall. Here, authorities will hand out 100 attractive school bags and just as many vouchers for other school-related supplies. What’s more, the SCCI is offering 80 per cent discounts for educational items at malls across the city till September 1st. In accordance with this scheme, buyers can avail of everything from clothing and apparel to stationery to electronic devices… at a fifth of the price. How’s that for a bargain!
This campaign comes in an effort to incentivise students to return to the classroom and perform well in it, while aiding their families with meeting school equipment costs. So says Adbul Aziz Al Shamsi – a top official in SCCI’s Communication and Business Sector. Plus, this collaborative campaign will also benefit the concerned sellers, traders, retailers, etc., as they witness a greater footfall and items flying off their shelves.
