Dubai, UAE, October 14, 2024: The 44th edition of the Gulf Information Technology Exhibition boasted a curious new feature which dazzled guests and visitors. They got to meet HPE’s President and CEO, Antonio Neri, or at least, his AI avatar – Antonio Nearly.
Demonstrating the power of AI at scale, attendees can communicate with Antonio’s AI powered avatar, which looks and sounds just like him. Enabled through Proto, the world’s first and only holographic communications platform, the 7ft tall machine allows life-size holograms to be beamed in real time.
Antonio Neri, 57, is an Argentine-Italian-American businessman who currently serves as president and chief executive officer (CEO) of Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE). Born in Argentina, he studied engineering at National Technological University and started working for Hewlett-Packard in 1995.
